COUNCIL MEETING
CITY OF POINT PLEASANT
December 26, 2002
The Common Council of the City of
Point Pleasant, a municipal corporation in Mason County, West Virginia, met in
Special Session at the City Building, 400 Viand Street at 5:00 P.M. on Thursday,
December 26, 2002.
The following were found present:

James H. Wilson
Absent were
Mayor C. Edward Woomer
City Attorney James M. Casey
Council Members
James E. Fetty
Robert C. Doeffinger
Robert A. Messick
The meeting was called to order by
City Clerk Marilyn L. McDaniel who led Council in the Pledge of Allegiance to
the Flag. Councilwoman M. Leota
Sang led Council in prayer.
A Waiver of Notice is attached to
this set of minutes. The purpose of
the meeting was (1) TO DISCUSS AND TAKE ANY NECESSARY ACTION ON A RESOLUTION TO
SUBMIT A $40,000 GRANT TO THE WEST VIRGINIA ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT GRANT
COMMITTEE.
After
a lengthy discussion by Council, Carol Jones moved to approve a Resolution to
submit a $40,000 Grant to the West Virginia Economic Development Grant Committee
for the Tourism Center, Point Pleasant Water and Sewer Office, and Recreation
Facilities. Elaine Hunt seconded
and the motion was unanimously approved.
Upon motion by Kevin Nott, second
by James Wilson, the meeting adjourned at 5:35 P.M.
